Mixing Instructions for Cagrilintide 10mg
- Draw 2cc Bacteriostatic Water USP from vile.
- Inject the Bacteriostatic Water into the Cagrilintide vial.
- Gently swirl the vial around until the solution is completely clear. (Note: Do NOT shake – Cagrilintide is a delicate peptide and can lose potency if agitated.)
- Once completed this will provide you with a concentration of 10mg per/2cc & 0.5mg per 10 units on the insulin needle. Note: 100 units would equate to 5mg & 200 units would equate the total 10 mg.
- The most common injection site for administering Cagrilintide is your lower abdomen. It’s an easy site to inject, because there’s usually more subcutaneous fat in this area. Stick to the semi-circle area below your belly button and above your pubic region. Be sure to stay at least one inch away from your belly button.
- Storage: Once Cagrilintide is reconstituted, it must be refrigerated and used within 30-45 days.
